Here are some location options for your shoot in the east valley. This is NOT an all inclusive list, however, many of my clients ask for suggestions. If you would like to see additional examples from a location - just let me know!
Also - keep in mind the landscape changes by season & time of day.
Desert Botanical Garden is a 140-acre botanical garden located in Papago Park, at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix.

A recreational area adjacent to the lower portion of the Salt River, a stand of mesquite provides welcome shade. At certain times of the year, the river is lower and photos can be done on the bed of rocks among the mountainside. Additional backdrop opportunities include a red cliff.

A beautiful walkway through mature trees, a bridge and ponds rich with wildlife.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the largest and oldest botanical garden in the state of Arizona. Early mornings are preferred during the summer months, especially since they close before sunset.

Tumbleweed Ranch, operated by Chandler Museum, explores Chandler’s agricultural roots. Beginning in the 1890s, cotton, dairy, sheep, citrus, alfalfa, sugar beets, and other agricultural pursuits shaped our community.
There is an array of options, including a citrus grove, a strip of grass between rows of trees & old farm houses and equipment.
Named after the fabled lost gold mine, Lost Dutchman State Park is located in the Sonoran Desert, at the base of the Superstition Mountains, only 40 miles east of Phoenix. Several trails lead from the park into the Superstition Mountain Wilderness and surrounding Tonto National Forest.
*$50 Photography permit required (may be shared with another family for the day) in addition to $10 entrance fee per car
